I look forward to working with you and your child this year. Test Folders usually go home on Friday.  Please sign it and return it on Monday. Please keep all tests until the end of each 9 weeks.  If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to email  me. 

All students should bring a book to read in the morning during silent reading.

February 6th - 10th

Reading:  We will begin reading Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of Nimh.

*We will have cold comprehension tests throughout the 9 weeks. 

English:   We will continue Unit 4:  Adjectives.  We will have a test on Unit 4, les. 5 & 6 and proofreading on Tues., Feb. 14th..

Vocabulary Workshop:  We will continue Unit 5.  The test will be on Fri., Feb. 17th.

Spelling:  We will do Unit 21.  The test will be on Fri., Feb. 10th.

Math:  We will continue Ch. 9.  The test on Ch. 9, les. 1 - 4, and 6 will be on Fri., Feb. 10th.

*The students will be given quizzes on addition, subtraction and division with remainders.  We will also have timed quizzes throughout the 9 weeks on addition, subtraction, multiplication and division facts.  Students should reveiw addition and subtraction facts through 18 and multiplication and division facts through 12.  www.brainormous.com is a website to review facts.  Students can play the demo games for addition and subtraction and multiflyer for multiplication and division.

Social Studies:  We will begin Unit 3, Ch. 6. 

Science:    We will continue Ch. 3. The vocab. test will be on Tues., Feb. 7th and the Ch. 3 test will be on Thurs., Feb. 9th. 

Religion:    We will begin Ch. 15.  The test will be on Thurs., Feb. 16th.                                                                                                   
Homework is tentative.  Please check your child's assignment pad.
