EDUCATIONAL EVALUATIONS If anyone has recently been evaluated by a psychologist, please share a copy of the evaluation with me before school starts if possible or as soon as you receive a copy of the evaluation to ensure that teachers receive relevant information (such as classroom accommodations) to help your child succeed in the classroom. PROJECT FLEUR DE LIS Project Fleur de Lis is a program through Mercy Family Center that provides eductional evaluations, psychological testing/evaluations, individual and family therapy, and psychiatric services to students attentding participating schools (like St.Philip Neri). CELEBRATE CALM RESOURCES
Kirk Martin's program, Celebrate Calm, presented to
SPN faculty and parents in 2009 was so helpful that SPN has purchased the CD
series that parents can now check out. The program is designed to
help: -- Create a calm home & eliminate yelling, arguing, and stress -- Help your kids be responsible for their attitudes and actions -- Build confidence, social skills, and motivation --
Help create less stressful mornings, homework time, and bedtime. In addition to the Calm Kids Parenting Program outlined above, the set includes Brain Boosters for School Success, Stop Defiance & Disrespect Now, Straight Talk for Dads, and Calm Couples Marriage Makeover. SMART DISCIPLINE WORKSHOP: The Smart Discipline presentation was very successful and extremely informative. The school has purchased some materials that can be checked out. Please contact me about for information.
